Community Resources

Support Beyond Psychotherapy.

Below is a list of resources available in Colorado and beyond.

Pre-natal and post-natal services

  • Doula support - A doula, also known as a birth companion, birth coach or post-birth supporter, is a non-medical person who stays with and assists the birthing person before, during, or after childbirth, to provide emotional support and physical help if needed. I highly recommend Lindsey Eden if you are in the Denver metro area. Individuals who feel supported, empowered and knowledgeable generally have better birth outcomes.

  • Breast Feeding Support - Breastfeeding can create a great deal of anxiety in new parents. La Leche League is a great place to get connected.

  • Postpartum Resources and Postpartum Education- I recommend that you consult with a mental health professional if you believe you are experiencing postpartum depression or postpartum psychosis. This can be a resource to learn what it is, gain additional support, and know what to look for in a loved one.

Parenting Resources

  • The Trevor Project - LGTBQIA+ resource for youth needing supporting in their sexuality or gender. A resource to also learn more about what these youth may need support with.

  • Colorado Shines - This is website that can help you navigate where you choose to send your child to daycare in Colorado. Child Care can be a great source of anxiety for parents, but information is power, and this resource will help you make a better informed choice.

General Mental Health Support

  • Let’s Talk Colorado - Gives a listing of agencies in Colorado to work with, including support groups, resources specific to addiction, men’s therapy, and other specialties not handled in this practice.

  • Colorado Crisis Services - A listing of crisis centers throughout the metro area for emergent mental health needs.

  • National Suicide Hotline - An agency that provides 24/7 support to those in need and having thoughts of suicide.

  • Facebook, Reddit & Discord Support Groups - I believe in the power of community and shared stories. I recommend that if it feels helpful, you connect with others on social media regarding any specific support you may need, such as living with chronic pain or parenting.

If you are experiencing a mental health emergency, call 911.
