Balancing Anxiety

Real People First. Therapists Second.

Jessica Wilson, MS, LPCC

Jessica is a therapsit who helps adults navigate anxiety, trauma, depression, and major life transitions. Her approach blends Person-Centered Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and psychodynamic and trauma-focused work, tailored to each client rather than a one-size-fits-all method. Jessica is passionate about providing affirming, judgment-free care for LGBTQ+ clients and creating space for men to explore emotional vulnerability and healing. She believes therapy works best as a genuine partnership — one where clients feel heard, respected, and equipped to move forward on their own terms.

Master's Level Clinician

Gwendolyn Stanley

Gwendolyn is a Licensed Social Worker and EMDR-trained clinician specializing in anxiety, OCD, and PTSD. She brings a steady, client-centered presence shaped by years of experience in intake, assessment, and direct clinical care, including her current work as a remote therapist supporting clients through evidence-based, trauma-focused treatment. Gwendolyn is especially attuned to how past experiences show up in present-day anxiety and stress, and she's committed to helping clients build real, lasting relief rather than just managing symptoms. Her background in restorative practices also shapes how she approaches conflict, communication, and repair in relationships.

Emily is a Master of Social Work candidate at the University of Denver. Her background includes providing individual and group counseling, crisis response, and safety planning in high-need settings, along with specialized training in mental skills work — goal setting, confidence-building, and emotional regulation. Emily brings a grounded, trauma-informed approach and a genuine investment in helping clients build practical tools for resilience. She's especially passionate about supporting people through difficult transitions with steadiness, structure, and care.

Unlike other therapy pratices, we have immediate availability.

We believe access to quality mental health care shouldn't depend on your insurance plan. Balancing Anxiety proudly accepts Health First Colorado (Medicaid), Aetna, Optum/United Healthcare, and Cigna.

We also offer private-pay options starting at $90 per session for clients who prefer to pay out of pocket or whose plan isn't listed above. Whatever your coverage situation, we'll help you find a path to care that works.

Our Vision is…

Every anxious, striving, and deeply feeling person can find balance, no matter where they live in Colorado or what insurance they have.
