We’re a team of Colorado therapists offering virtual support for adults and children. We take the time to understand what’s bringing you here, help you find the right therapist, and make getting started feel straightforward.

Meet the real people behind your care

Meet the Therapists and Team at Balancing Anxiety LLC.

Our Approach

We believe good therapy brings clinical expertise into a relationship where you feel known, respected, and comfortable being honest. We show up with warmth and curiosity, ready to listen and work alongside you.

We tailor our approach to you.

Depending on your therapist’s training and your needs, sessions may draw from CBT, Narrative Therapy, psychodynamic approaches, Solution Focused Brief Therapy, and other specialized methods.

Your care is a collaboration.

We explain your options and choose an approach together. You have a say in what we work on, what feels helpful, and when something needs to change.

There’s room for the hard conversations.

You can bring the thoughts you’ve kept to yourself, the feelings you don’t understand, and the experiences that are difficult to put into words. You don’t have to make your story easier to hear before sharing it with us.

Meet Nicole, our founder

Nicole started Balancing Anxiety while pregnant with her third baby, hoping to build a business that could support her growing family and offer the kind of care she believed people deserved.

Her work as a social worker had taken her through child welfare, schools, courtrooms, and other systems where getting help could feel unnecessarily difficult. She wanted to create a practice where people could find skilled support and feel known by the person providing it.

Along the way, she found herself especially drawn to deeply feeling, perfectionist overachievers who had often heard they were “too much.” Those relationships shaped her work, deepened her clinical training, and inspired her anxiety workbook.

Today, Nicole is an EMDR-certified therapist and IFS practitioner building a team around the same belief that started it all: exceptional care should have room for our full, complicated, human lives.

What to expect from your sessions

Time That’s Yours

A 50-minute, one-on-one virtual session with your therapist to focus on your goals and whatever needs attention that day. You don’t need to arrive with everything figured out.

A Plan We Build Together

We start by getting to know you through a clinical assessment, then create a treatment plan together. Along the way, we’ll explore tools you can use between sessions and check in on what’s helping.

Clear Payment Options

We accept Health First Colorado (Medicaid), Aetna, Optum/United Healthcare, and Cigna, with coverage depending on your plan and therapist. Private-pay sessions start at $90. We’ll help you understand your options before you begin.
